I have officially started back at work and the kids start school on the 13th, so I had better post some summer stuff before we get swept up in the new school year!

Henry, Oliver, and I spent three weeks in Evanston this summer. Though we missed Matt (who had to work) we enjoyed the time with family and seeing the sights of the Chicago area.

Between my mom and I, we took about a billion pictures, so I've chosen a few to share here and several others to put in a Picasa web album that I will link to at the bottom of the post.

Fun with Cousins: Oliver, Lauren, Justin, Henry, and Owen at Lovelace Park

Matt came for the weekend and took the boys (with his dad) to their first Wrigley Field Cubs game!

We went to the Field Museum with Grandma and Grandpa Jennings.

Approaching the Bean at Millennium Park.

Melissa's boyfriend, Dan, invited us to the fire station. Very exciting!
(He even slid down the pole for us.)

At Legoland Discovery Center - 4D Movie (who knew that the 4th dimension was mist and wind?)

Braving the Heat for the 4th of July Parade!

We took a day trip to Indiana to visit the farm of my mom's best friend's brother.

It was very lovely and relaxing. Thanks, Ann and John!

Then we went to the dunes in Michigan to play at the beach. The water was wavy and warm. It was beautiful!
We had a little reunion with the Stricker/Gay side of the family where Henry and Oliver got to see their cousin Emmett.
Laif taught the boys a little about fishing!

Botanic Gardens

A Trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo with Grandpa Jim

Off to sleep over with Owen, Lauren, and Justin!
