The first day of school for the boys was also my first day of school, so our morning started very early. The boys were excited, so they didn't mind that I needed them to be dressed for their traditional picture before 7:00. Unfortunately, the pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea!
Henry has tried out for chorus this year and will find out soon if he got in. He is also continuing to take violin at school and is in the REACH (gifted) program where he will be learning about American history and how to play chess. It should be a busy year for him! He also was pleased to find out that his favorite classmate from last year is in his class again.
Oliver is liking pre-k. He mentioned today that he finally made three friends in his class (though he doesn't remember their names). Last week he said that the children were all too fast (like cheetahs) and he couldn't keep up with them to play with them. He also told us that during nap time he watches ants crawl in and out of their home. He told us that watching the ants is just so interesting that he can't sleep. I don't doubt that he will make plenty of friends this year. Oliver has always gotten along well with other children.
Matt just started is teaching semester today, so we are all full swing into another busy year. At least we have a few weeks before baseball starts back up!
