Day Trip to the Beach

Yesterday we decided to take a day trip Tybee Island. On the way, we stopped at a little petting zoo that is located at a gas station at exit 98 on Interstate 16.

Oliver was brave enough to feed the slobbery bison!

When we arrived at Tybee Island, our first stop was the lighthouse.

We climbed all 178 steps...

with just a few breaks to look out the windows on the way up.

Then we relaxed and played on the beach for a few hours. It was not too hot and a little breezy, so I had no desire to go in the ocean. Matt and the boys did, though.

When we were hungry and tired, we left the beach to eat at the North Beach Grill. Then we drove into Savannah to watch a minor league baseball game.

We were lucky that it happened to be a fireworks night at the ballpark. The boys were asleep within a few minutes of getting into the car to go home!
