Last weekend we went on a trip to visit Barbara and her family in Ohio.

We drove up there with our friend Holly and her children, Athena and Elijah. The children did really well in the car for the 14+ hour drive each way. Henry and Oliver had a great reunion with their good friends Aiden and Ava and all six children had fun playing together. Barbara and Chuck were such wonderful hosts and made us all feel at home. It was so nice to see Barbara again and now that the kids are all getting a little older, Holly, Barbara, and I actually had time to talk and catch up while they played independently!

We drove up there (to Painesville, which is near Cleveland) on Saturday, the 17th, stayed Sunday and Monday, and returned on Tuesday.

On Sunday, Barbara took us to the beach at Lake Erie. It was a perfect day.

Later on, the children played dress-up--they were being secret spies (as I am sure you can tell)

The following day we took a trip to the mall play area and the Disney store (while it was raining) and then went to a wonderful playground by the lake.

Barbara was the hero of the day when she produced ice cream sandwiches for desert.

Thank you, Barbara, for a wonderful vacation! We miss you.
