I remember the morning we took this picture. We woke up after our first night home from the hospital and Henry was lying on his side. We were so amazed that he had managed to get into that position on his own when he had been on his back the last time we looked at him (which could only have been an hour or two before).
He has continued to amaze us as he has grown. Each year brings new achievements, challenges, and fun.
Here is Henry as he turned one:
And as a two-year-old:
Here he is on his third birthday:
And just after he turned four:
Today I took a video of Henry's "birthday interview." I wanted to have a reminder of just what Henry is like right now.
We will be having a birthday party for Henry on Saturday, but we did a little celebrating at home today. Henry was awake bright (or dark, actually) and early--excited to open his presents. So, before 6:00, we all gathered in the living room while he opened his presents from us and from others who had sent things in the mail. He loved everything that he got!
Henry and Oliver played with the new stuff until it was time for school. At school, Henry got to wear a crown that he helped make. I brought in cupcakes that the class ate at snack time. After school, we worked on the first stages of Henry's birthday party pinata (very messy!) and then we went out to dinner. It was a fun day.
Happy birthday, Henry!
